It felt great to get back in the Gulf today... Joe and Andrew joined me for a bottom fishng trip today. The plan was to put the Guys on their fisrt ever Red Snapper, try to find a few Amberjack and then put some tasty fish in the cooler!
We did really well on the Red Snapper, we landed one fish right at 20lbs and two at 18lbs... and countless more in the 8-12lb range! The Snapper were biting really good today. We did not have the same luck with Jacks though.
We had some great baits and spent some quality time soaking them, just either couldnt turn the ones we hooked or couldn't get a bite. Either way we had a great trip and got to see some amazing fish!
